Run 4 Education — Fundraising Event for the Guy Emanuele Sports Fund

Run 4 Education

The 8th Annual Run 4 Education, was held on October 14, 2012, at Lake Elizabeth in Fremont, and hosted again by Learning Bee Learning Center.

Learning Bee director, Grace Wong, returned to spearhead this fun family run, and welcomed all the community sponsors and supporters to participate through volunteering and/or donating to support the Guy Emanuele Sports Fund.

About the Fun Run

The proceeds from individual or corporate sponsors benefit the Fremont Education Foundation's Guy Emanuele Sports Fund (GESF). The GESF provides scholarships to high school students who face economic hardship and might not otherwise be able to participate in after-school sports or cheerleading.

 

Participants receive: Refreshments, Awards, T-shirt, & goodie bags.

The proceeds from individual or corporate sponsors benefit the Fremont Education Foundation's Guy Emanuele Sports Fund (GESF). The GESF provides scholarships to high school students who face economic hardship and might not otherwise be able to participate in after-school sports or cheerleading. And this year, based on the generous donations from our Run 4 Education, the Fremont Education Foundation will fund elementary school-sponsored basketball leagues for both boys and girls at all 27 elementary schools in the Fremont Unified School District.

Free Stuff for All Participants: All participants receive Event T-shirt, refreshments, a drawing ticket for great prizes, and a goodie bag with promotions and give-a-ways from our sponsors.

Kids' Corral: Supervised, enclosed area with activities for kids while you participate in the 5K or 10K!

FREE Family Fitness Expo: Children and family activities spotlighting event sponsors.

Every participant entered in the 5k or 10k events are entered into a FREE Drawing!

Elementary School Challenge: Write your school name on your Run application! The FUSD elementary school with the most participants in the Run 4 Education also receive big prizes for their schools!

Awards, Results and Pictures: All races are timed, and results will be posted at www.onyourmarkevents.com.  Awards: First, Second and Third place for boys and girls in each age category. Kids Runs age categories 4-6 and 7-10. 5k and 10k Runs age categories, 13 and under, 14-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80-89, 90+. Finisher Ribbon for all participants.
