  • Kathy Kimberlin, President

    Kathy has supported and served on the FEF board for over 10 years, committed and passionate to strengthen the FEF Mission Statement through activities and outreach.

    Her interest in community volunteerism began when her boys went through FUSD. She found it important to teach her children, and lead by example, that it makes a difference to be involved in your community. Some other community ties over the last almost 30 years, may be found in her service as President of the Centerville Business & Community Association, President of Fremont Rotary Club, City of Fremont Government Affairs Committee, Fremont 4th of July Board, Citizens for Better Community board member, and co-founder of the Tri-City Nonprofit Coalition.

    By day, she enjoys her work as Field Director for Alameda County Supervisor D1-David Haubert.

    In between these community service opportunities, she thoroughly enjoys traveling and hiking with her husband.

  • Linda Dewlaney, Vice President

    Linda began volunteering in our community in 1998, starting with her days as “the Snack Bar Lady” for local Fremont youth baseball and basketball leagues. She went on to serve on various board positions with those non-profit organizations. She has served the PTAs at Brier Elementary, Walters Jr. High, and John F. Kennedy High School, from which her son graduated in 2009. Her PTA experience includes leadership positions at the unit, council, district, and state level. She is an advocate for the arts and physical fitness as integral parts of public education.

    Linda has also enjoyed being a host parent for international college students attending Ohlone College and San Jose State University. She is a proud member of the League of Women Voters of Fremont/Newark/Union City, and Soroptimist International of Fremont.

  • Cindy Bonior, Treasurer

    As President of the Fremont Chamber of Commerce, Cindy has been an advocate for local business and the community to maintain a thriving community. She has coordinated workshops for local non profits, as well as connecting them for potential opportunities with the annual Leadership Fremont program. Cindy has been a long time FEF Associate Board member and supporter.

  • Anusha Vaidyanathan, Secretary

    Description goes hereAnusha is a passionate advocate for women empowerment, education, and believes in community engagement and paying it forward.

    She serves as a parent representative on the school site council and is the internship chair at Mission San Jose High.

    By profession, she is a product management leader in cybersecurity and has been in the technology industry for 20+ years. She is also a part-time venture capitalist, helping early stage startups grow. She loves dancing and hiking and runs a Pacer walking challenge group to encourage neighbors and friends to walk 100 miles a month.

More About Our Board

  • Jennifer is an active community member, is a product of the FUSD school system, and has 15 years of involvement as a parent in our public schools, ranging from room parent, high school sports team parent, Chinese Immersion Parent’s Council of Fremont (CIPCF) founding member, Boosters Club board member, to PTA president at two FUSD elementary schools.  Other community service positions she has served on include StarStruck Theatre board member, Ohlone College Foundation Vice Chair, East Bay Dischargers Authority (EBDA) commissioner, and current Union Sanitary District Board President. 

    Jennifer and husband, Bill Harrison, have two sons that have successfully finished their FUSD careers and are both thriving at UC Irvine. She has had several years of experience in the banking, retail management, government, and non-profit sectors. In her spare time, she enjoys walking, hiking, and tap dancing.

  • Robert has extensive experience developing large, complex software products for mission-critical applications for some of the most demanding customer in the world. He says he loves to work on hard problems!

    His children attended FUSD schools and are now grown. He spent countless hours volunteering at the school’s his children attended, and has served on several FUSD committees as a community representative.

    Roberts served as a team volunteer with the Fremont Unified Student Store (FUSS) coordinating math clubs, talent shows and summer fairs programs. FEF is fortunate to have him newly on board!

    Zia has a BS in electrical engineering and an MS in Management and Organizational Development. He worked 36 years in Aerospace Industries

    Authored 4books promoting positive use of human attributes and utilizing ability to dream, imagine and creatively think to achieve the possible and explore the process to make impossible possible.

    Zia believes that love is the foundation of life.

  • …is a Fremont teacher with almost twenty years of experience teaching at the elementary level. He is also a product of Fremont Unified School District and a lifelong Fremont resident.

    He has been very involved in our After School Band Program since he joined the F.E.F. board, because of his lifelong passion for music education.

  • Allyson is a Fremont high school honor student and a nationally ranked and titled chess player.

    In 2020, she co-founded FEMchess.org, a student-led 501c3 nonprofit foundation that coaches local and underprivileged young girls to learn and compete in chess. In 2022, Allyson raised funds from the US Chess Chess Federation and US Women Chess to support at-risk youth, partnering with Fremont Unified School District to provide free chess lessons to the McKinney-Vento unhoused girls.

    As Founder-President of Kids Against Hunger Club in her high school, Allyson led her school community to raise $20,000, hosting two public meal-packing events involving over 400 volunteers from eighteen schools. The community packed over 80,000 meals to support the local community and Ukraine refugees. She has been serving as a youth ministry leader teacher since 7th grade.
